Xiaomi Redmi K60 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC
Xiaomi‘s sub-brand, Redmi, will also launch a new premium smartphone at the August 14 event. While there are no many details about the upcoming device, the brand confirmed on its Weibo page that the Redmi K60 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage options.
Additionally, Redmi revealed the design of the new phone and some details about the display. According to the rumors and official announcements, the Redmi K60 Ultra will feature a display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. Compared to the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro, which have a 1440p panel, the Ultra model will have a minor display, 1220p.
When we look at the camera system, the expected smartphone will likely have third cameras on the back, including a 50-megapixel main, an ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2-megapixel basic portrait lens.
The complete information will be announced on Monday, including the anticipated price of the phone. To provide context, the Redmi K50 Ultra had a starting price of CNY 3,000 ($415/€380), while the highest tier, a limited Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team edition, reached CNY 4,200 ($580/€530).
